IEC stands for International Experience Canada, which is a program that enables youths from different countries to work and tour in Canada. It provides a great chance to get the first work experience, to practice language skills, and to discover Canada. This blog will go further in explaining the IEC program and will focus on countries that can take part in it.
The IEC program is aimed at promoting the exchange of culture and giving young people an opportunity to work in another country. It is divided into three categories:
Working Holiday: Can let the participants work for any employer in Canada.
Young Professionals: For those who have received a job offer in Canada that relates to the development of their career.
International Co-op (Internship): For students who have to do a work placement or an internship as part of their academic program.
Some of the key advantages of this program include:
Cultural Exchange: They also get to taste and learn about the Canadian culture and at the same time give out their own.
Language Skills: A great chance to enhance the level of English or French.
Work Experience: This will be important in that it will offer the students an opportunity to gain working experience internationally, which will be an added advantage in their careers.
Travel: Discover the natural scenery and diverse urban centers of Canada.
